I began my career as a journalist. I’d always been a good writer, but the demands of journalism took it to a new level. As a writer, it set a foundation for excellence and instilled the discipline every writer needs to make a career of it Being a journalist was also like “shotgun” field training (think shotgun wedding) in expertise-development on a fast track. Later I moved into Public relations and then marketing where I found my voice writing content. I enjoy the strategy, research, development and creation of honest, informative content, developed to capture and retain reader interest, and please my clients with increased conversions and ROI. I’m a big proponent of optimizing the copy organically so it never detracts from the content, but it does was it’s supposed to do—reaches target audiences. In 1998 I decided to go solo and freelance.
